RN Charge Nurse | Our skilled nursing RN Charge nurse oversees the day-to-day care of the residents on our sub-acute rehabilitation unit. Work alongside another RN Supervisor, to provide the most dedicated leadership and care that maintains Weinberg Campus's standards.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership to facilitate effective patient/resident care delivery
Monitor the condition of patients/residents under their charge, recognize changes in patient condition, implement appropriate interventions, continuity of care, and patient/resident safety
Conform to all regulatory guidelines, ensure adherence to the facility's policies, and maintain compliance with standards of practice and ethics
Delegate unit and patient/resident responsibilities to nursing staff
Report concerns about patient/resident care, the work environment, or co-worker performance to management personnel in a timely fashion
Educate nursing staff regarding the use of all equipment and supplies, safe patient handling techniques, safety procedures, and infection control
Correspond with physicians to ensure that all information is readily available to patient/resident care providers
Participate in admission and discharge process for patient/resident

ATTRIBUTES OF SUCCESSFUL RN Charge Nurse:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
Good organizational and communication skills
Respect for the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
3 years of experience in nursing is preferred but not required
1+ year experience in long term care and/or acute care preferred
